Carolyn’s Table

Celebrate! Not a bit larger than life

and no smaller — Carolyn, you’re the just-

right size for a just-right life, so bust

out the very best plates, sharpen your knife,

lick the spoon, open the oven, it’s ready —

yield to the aroma, light the candle,

name the names — we are yours to command.

Call us — we are all such eager guests, red-

and-white-and-blue napkins tucked in so nicely,

ribbons and boffers and funny hats

on our heads, we love your laugh! Dogs and cats

like us, we’re wishing only to entice

you to linger here, with us — being coy

never suits a banquet like yours. Enjoy!
